SIP has devised a diversity of events to celebrate the Chinese Lantern Festival which, reckoned on the fifteenth day of the first month on the Chinese lunar calendar, will fall on Mar 3 this year.

SIP Public Cultural Center has curated a series of immersive cultural events combining reading and traditions, including a flash mob recitation session and lantern riddle guessing activities.

SIP Northern Citizen Center announced to offer visitors chances to win tickets for sports activities by giving the right answers to its riddles, and SIP Southern Citizen Center to present 200 bowls of tangyuan (stuffed small dumpling balls made of glutinous rice flour) to visitors and people working in it on the festival.
A job fair is scheduled at SIP Human Resources Market on the festival, incorporating a Lantern Festival celebration.

Business districts and shopping malls across SIP celebrate the festival in distinctive ways, such as the light shows at the old Xietang Street and the performance by renowned violinist Jin Xiaolong and his friends at Suzhou Culture and Arts Centre.

Moreover, SIP’s sub-districts are extending festival greetings to local residents through various events, such as handy services, DIY activities and art performances.
